Whispering Winds Meeting and Lodging

A variety of meeting facilities were intentionally incorporated into the Master Plan update. Whispering Winds has had a long history of user groups ranging from 20 to over 300. All the meeting facilities are oriented on the central Meadow where one building for meetings was already located. Founders Hall is the largest of the meeting spaces and sits above the Meadow. After Founders Hall was opened, it became apparent that a slightly smaller facility was needed for more modest sized groups. Shepherds Hall is located only a few steps from the Meadow. The Welcome Center was added at the same time Shepherds Hall was built and was sited so it would be visible to all guests as they enter the camp and would know where to check in. This required moving 100’s of cubic yards of soil so that access is granted to the Meadow and for guest tours to the rest of the camp.
