Hotel del Coronado Entry Garden

Welcome to Hotel del Coronado Entry Garden, a beautiful and inviting pedestrian garden plaza along Orange Avenue. It is the first glimpse guests from around the world get that welcomes them to the historic Hotel del Coronado.

Orange Avenue is the main street in Coronado and got its name due to the orange trees that historically lined the street in front of the hotel entry but later were replanted with cypress, pine and palm trees. In honoring the original planting of Orange Avenue, Washington navel orange trees were added back around the backside of the entry garden to frame the lawn area and help screen temporary parking. Clipped boxwood hedges and additional plantings, typical of when the Hotel del Coronado was built, were reintroduced. The banded brick pavers lead the way to benches and a beautiful fountain that is the focal point of the entry garden plaza.

This project was designed and/or managed by one of the partners while at Integration Design Studio.
