One Ford Road Pocket Parks

The pocket parks (or gardens) at One Ford Road consist of a series of smaller spaces that provide a wide variety of recreation opportunities for residents to interact with each other. Several of the spaces are connected by the central paseo which connects the northern main pool complex to the southern pool area. A 27-hole bent grass putting green garden with Walt Emerson’s poem, ”Success” etched into a concrete spiral is the first stop from the southern pool. Next stop is the formal rose garden which then leads to the children’s play garden adjacent to the fitness center and 2 half court basketball courts. Other pocket parks are easily accessible with a short walk on the main loop drive including the water garden complete with bronze frog water features, a croquet garden, and a turf volleyball garden.

This project was designed and/or managed by one of the partners while at Burton.
